I am a board-certified registered art therapist (ATR-BC) and licensed creative arts therapist (LCAT) in the state of New York, as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I have been passionate about my career as an art therapist for over 10 years.
My therapeutic and humanistic approach focuses on encouraging agency, empowering individual goals, and facilitating healing. I believe in the transformative power of art and creativity as a means to explore emotions, resolve conflicts, and foster personal growth. Through a supportive and empathetic environment, I strive to help my clients unlock their potential, build resilience, and achieve a deeper understanding of themselves. The dedication to mental wellness and commitment to each individual's journey is at the heart of my practice.
Tarita Byas-Harris, Mental Health Counselor
LMHC (FL)
With over 20 years of experience in family advocacy and mental health, I bring a warm and supportive approach to therapy. My journey began as a military spouse, facilitating international adoptions and supporting soldiers and their families. I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Counseling from Tuskegee University, along with a Certificate in Clinical Mental Health from Troy University. My experience includes crisis intervention, outpatient counseling, and rehabilitation, with a focus on addiction and co-occurring mental health issues. As a therapist, I specialize in behavioral and mood disorders, grief and trauma, and addiction recovery. I specialize in providing compassionate therapy for those dealing with behavioral, mood, and panic disorders, serious mental illness, addiction, and trauma. My approach is centered on creating a safe, supportive space where you can find healing and build the tools for a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Insurance and Reimbursement
We offer a variety of ways to pay for therapy, including major insurance providers.
Out-of-Pocket
If you are not currently covered by one of our accepted insurance plans, we offer paperwork to apply towards out-of-network benefits which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
We also work with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits and helps clients often get a percentage back of their session fee. We have seen clients be reimbursed on average 25-95% of the session fee. When outreaching to our practice, there will be space to include your insurance information so we can see what your out-of-network benefits would look like!

Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, navigating denials, and calling insurance companies. It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.
